American actor Treat Williams, known for the series “Widower’s Love” and the film “Once Upon a Time in America,” passed away at the age of 71 in a car accident.
According to police reports, Williams died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV. The injured actor was airlifted to the hospital but could not be saved. Throughout his almost five-decade-long career, Treat Williams appeared in numerous films, including “Once Upon a Time in America” (1984), “Hair” (1979), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Newcomer, “Dead Man Walking” (1988), and many others. He also performed in theatrical productions, including performances on Broadway.
